2K’s The Quarry Gets a Debut First Trailer

Quarry, a new teen horror film developed by Supermassive Games and published by 2K, has received its first trailer introducing an all-star cast. According to the short trailer’s description, the game will feature nine teenage counselors facing a night of terror on the final night of summer camp.

While the developers of the successful series Until Dawn are keeping details close to the chest, the first trailer still shows off pretty much for two and a half minutes.

It opens with the head counselor voiced by David Arquette, frustrated that his car won’t start, forcing the other teen counselors to stay overnight at the camp’s motel. The impressive voice cast will also include Ariel Winter, Justice Smith, Brenda Song, Halston Sage, and screaming queen Lin Shaye.

How the last nine camp counselors survive the horror-filled night at Hackett’s Quarry Summer Camp will depend on your actions. Whether you investigate a trap door, look at screams in the nearby woods, or save a friend (or flee instead) can change the ending.

Interestingly, The Quarry can be played with up to 7 other players, who can vote on important decisions made throughout the game. It will also allow you all to “play together in a horror couch co-op experience in which each player chooses an advisor and controls their actions.”

The game will have multiple difficulty settings to match your team’s skill level. That said, you don’t have to “play” the game by turning on Movie Mode and watching the story unfold.

The Quarry is rated M and is scheduled to release on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC on June 10 of this year. Those who pre-order the game will receive a Horror History Visual Filter Pack that transforms the game into a variety of horror genres such as black and white horror and ’80s horror.

In other news, the Netflix Resident Evil Series is coming just a month later in July, and Sony has finally responded to the misconduct allegations in the PlayStation gender discrimination lawsuit.
