It’s one of the best moments of the movie, and in an interview with ET, producer Sev Ohanian explains that is obvious.

“Look, if you’re going to have a Michael Jordan in your movie, you’re going to want Michael A. Jordan, right? The Jordan,” producer Sev Ohanian told ET. “But if you had a chance to get your hands on this incredible prank that has been more than 25 years in the making, how could you not? It’s the most amazing, perfect addition to the film, and honestly, I can’t wait to go to the theater and see the audience experience the film firsthand.”

“It’s a great way to pay tribute to MJ [and] make sure the audience knows how important he is to us and this movie and these characters,” Ohanian explained. “At the same time, once people hear the joke, they love the concept and it’s all true.”
