2 more Xbox games released for free thanks to Games with Gold

We know the Xbox Games With Gold program isn’t as exciting as it once was, with most of the effort and focus now firmly placed on the launch of the game. Xbox Game Pass, but that doesn’t mean you should skip the monthly free services. When we hit the mid-July 2021 point, it’s Games with Gold that’s happily converting free love once again, giving Xbox players a chance to download 2 more Xbox games for free .

July 2021 has so far seen the rather brilliant Conker: Live & Reloaded and Planet Alpha both stripped of their price tags, with Xbox players with a valid Xbox Live Gold subscription able to download both games for free. When Planet Alpha Still free, Conker is about to raise the price again, but that means 2 extra games will be removed from their game.

Those games are Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break, and Midway Arcade Origins’ Xbox 360 classic collection.

Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break was first released on Xbox One this time last year, but 12 months later, it’s not released at all. A quirky little affair, Make & Break never really relives the hype that has been found with previous Rock of Ages titles, and while Our full review of the game tells a funny and funny story, along with some great Rock of Ages gameplay, numerous glitches, confusing level editors, and less engaging levels have brought things down to a pin or two.

But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t play it, and now that the Xbox Games With Gold program is offering it for free until mid-August, you’d be crazy if you didn’t download it and give it a spin.

Kicking as another free title is by Midway Arcade Origins. This game was first released years ago on Xbox 360, but will be playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S thanks to the magic of Backwards Compatibility. And if you’re looking for a collection of classics, Midway has you covered.

Normally priced at £14.99, this will give you access to more than 30 titles from the golden age of video games – such as games like Lair of the Vultures and Spy Hunter II . With local cooperative play, those awesome Xbox and Gamerscore achievements, and full leaderboard support, we’re pretty sure Midway Arcade Origins should be able to help you sort through some of the gaming options exciting.

These free games are only available, of course, if you’re the proud owner of an Xbox Live Gold subscription, and you’ll only have until the end of the month to download Midway (and a little longer for Rock). of Ages).
